overview
Friction Drive Conveyors operate as a type of unit handling system, bearing similarities to both Overhead Monorail Conveyors and Power & Free Conveyors, but with a key distinction: they do not employ a conveyor chain for moving carriers. Instead, they utilize friction to manage the speed, stopping, and direction of either individual carriers or a group of them. These conveyors feature a design that includes a spring-tensioned friction drive wheel and a fixed idler wheel positioned on either side of the carrier's load or friction bar. As the load or friction bar is drawn between the drive and idler wheels, it propels the carrier forward. Friction Drive Conveyors are offered in both overhead and inverted configurations.
how it works
Friction Drive Conveyors offer modular, quiet, and reliable operation with minimal maintenance. They enhance safety and are controlled via PLCs for precise routines, with VFDs for adjustable speed. The system supports independent zone and carrier control, recipe-based processes, and precise stop positioning. Capable of handling elevation changes and product accumulation, these conveyors can be either powered or manually controlled, accommodating quick assembly and future modifications.
Why Choose Us
Our low friction conveyor belt can carry loads up to 200 kgs, are substantially less noisy in comparison to other conveyors and also require lower maintenance.
